How it works
An eSIM is a SIM card your phone downloads instead of one you slot in. Pick a destination, pick a plan, scan a QR code — that is the whole thing.
1. Check your phone supports eSIM
Most phones released since 2019 do. On iPhone, open Settings → General → About and look for an "EID" number. On Android, open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs and look for "Download a SIM instead?".
Your phone also has to be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it on a contract and never finished paying it off, ask your operator to unlock it first.

Plans are sized by data and by how long they last — 5 GB for 30 days, for example. If you are unsure, the most popular plan for each destination is marked.
You do not need an account and you do not need to enter anything beyond an email address to receive the code.
3. Install the eSIM
Right after payment you get a QR code on screen and by email. Scan it with your phone camera while you still have Wi-Fi, and follow the prompts.
Install it before you travel. The plan only starts counting down once you land and the eSIM connects to a local network.

When you arrive, enable the new line and switch data roaming on for it. Your normal line stays untouched, so you keep your number for calls and texts.
